It is situated at 19°12’26″N 81°42’0″E and one of the waterfalls located in the Kanger Valley National Park, in the Indravati River. It is given the name of ‘the Small Niagara Falls’, because of its horseshoe shape. The place is approached by the nature lovers to see the beauty of falls particularly during sunset. The gorgeous waterfall is located on the river Indravati, situated at a distance of 38Km in the west of Jagdalpur. The waterfall is approximately 100ft in height. The Chitrakoot Waterfalls is popularly known as the smaller form of the world famous Nayagra waterfalls. The main attraction is the rainbow colours of the falls. The tourists can enjoy the view of the falls in the rainy season, between July and October. For the comfortable residency ,the facility of government rest house is also available.
